Clay was our technician who came out to replace a damaged outside uplight (landscape lighting). He was so friendly, understood what I wanted in terms of light bulb color, and completed the job perfectly and quickly! He wore booties in the house and the company also puts down its own doormat to prevent dirt tracking in! That is going the extra mile! I also received 2 reminder calls. Everyone that I spoke with on the phone was just excellent! I would highly recommend Clay and Lightning Bug!

Zero doubt they are the best option
Once again, Lightning Bug Electric proved themselves to be an outdated company. Very easy scheduling, great communication about the appointment with at least 2 confirmations prior to the electrician’s arrival. But the star hands-down was Peyton. He simply did a phenomenal job. He arrived on time, went through a detailed walkthrough with me about the work to be done, reviewed everything with me, then provided a quote. No work was started until I reviewed it and confirmed. Then he went to work swapping out multiple switches for 'smart' ones (i.e., app-controlled)….not the most technically difficult job for someone with his skill, but we had several hiccups along the way for various reasons (none attributable to him), but he methodically problem-solved each one. For brevity’s sake, I will just say that I was beyond impressed with his attention to detail, thoroughness, pleasant demeanor, willingness to explain what he was doing, and give me pointers on how to do a similar exchange on my own in the future. Based on some feedback I gave him about the setup I learned from another electrician at Lightning Bug (Chris) when he came out to my house in February, Peyton was also able to save me a few hundred bucks just by listening to the suggestion. Despite the setbacks, he never once acted like he was in a rush or needed to get done and move on to the next job. He stayed until all the work was done to my satisfaction and ensured everything worked the way it was supposed to.
In short, I cannot say enough positive things about Lightning Bug Electric in general and specifically about Peyton. He is a stellar representative of your company and deserves to be applauded. This may not be the cheapest option out there, but I have ZERO doubt they are the BEST option. Do not hesitate to call them out if you need any electrical work done.

Outstanding and thorough job
I recently hired Lightning Bug Electric to come out to my home to install an extra outlet in our basement and a ceiling fixture in our home office. Upon arrival, our technician, Michael E., reviewed our main electrical panel to assess the situation and quickly noticed several serious flaws in the way it was originally built/wired 38 years ago that did not meet code today and posed serious fire & shock hazards. He took the time to show me in the panel what these flaws were, explain why they were hazardous, and came up with a recommended plan to fix it. This involved replacing & re-wiring the panel and grounding the house's supply outside (it was previously not grounded properly). While this was a large job, Michael E. thoroughly explained everything and it gave me comfort that the repairs were truly necessary for safety and would benefit us by bringing us up to code, should we decide to sell in the future. No corners were cut. He and Jacob both arrived on time the day the work began, gave us a good idea of what to expect, were professional and courteous, and did an outstanding and thorough job. All the work, including the original items we wanted done, was completed in one day and the team neatly cleaned up the work areas afterwards. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend Lightning Bug Electric - they were a pleasure to work with.

Impressed with Leo and his abilities
I called Lightning Bug Electric for a quote to install a generator transfer switch. The office was prompt with scheduling and called to let me know each time when a technician would be out and was on his way. Timing was accurate. Leo came out to give a quote. He looked everything over, listened to what we wanted, answered all our questions, and made sound recommendations. I was very impressed with Leo and felt comfortable with the quote and his abilities. This wasn't our first transfer switch install. I wanted Leo to do the install so I set up an appointment with him on the spot for the following week. Leo and Michael came out to do the install. Again the office called to let me know they were on their way and would be arriving in about 35-40 minutes. I set my Alexa for a reminder; they were exactly on time. The install was fast and efficient. Very little loss of power (inconvenience to me). Afterwards, Leo walked me through the operating process and again patiently answered all my questions. Michael, whom I'm assuming was his assistant, was very pleasant and personable. Both were people you felt you could trust. They felt like family doing the job, you knew you were in good hands. Just FYI, my dad (who has passed) was a licensed electrician and had his own business. We were spoiled if we needed any electrical work, dad would do it. You know he was thorough. I'm not an electrician but just growing up in the environment it's easy to spot electricians that are sincere, knowledgeable, thorough and care. I highly recommend Leo and Lightning Bug Electric.
